If you are interested in purchasing the handbooks please email teams@sim.ca.
So far SIM Canada has sent out over 80 teams, more than 700 people, and the Mission Team Handbook has been tested with all of them.
Those who have used the handbooks in training teams have noticed that the teams who are well trained have a significantly greater impact than those that are not. In fact, some team members have chafed at the training only to come back from their experience saying they did not have enough training.
The purpose of the handbooks is to train team leaders and members to be Christlike servants cross-culturally. The handbook walks a team through all the preparation the members need to do - such as defining team members’ roles, raising support, and preparing for conversations with people from other cultures and religions.
