This project aims to write, produce and broadcast culturally appropriate radio programs and print complementary booklets in the Quechua language as appropriate on:
  • Health issues relevant to the rural areas and marginal neighborhoods of urban centers, emphasizing primary health care, disease prevention/hygiene, and basic first aid
  • Specific health issues like Dengue Fever, H1N1, HIV/AIDS
  • Human rights issues
  • Community Development (including soil management, animal health and other appropriate topics)
The project includes the training and preparation of people who will write and produce radio programs. Production is carried out under the supervision of the Director of Radio Mosoj Chask, a Quechua Christian radio station established by SIM Bolivia.
 

Suggested gift amounts
  • $15 will enable a worker to study, research and write a 5 minute radio program
  • $30 will pay for the recording and preparation of the program, ready for transmission
  • $90 will put a 5 minute program on the air twice a day for two weeks
  • $300 will provide a training workshop for 5 program writers to more effectively produce these programs
