Regional Development Project - CANADA

The church in Brazil has experienced remarkable growth in recent years. The 2005 Brazilian census indicated there were 35 million conservative evangelical believers in Brazil. Along with this growth, is an increased interest in mission.

In recent years more than 2,000 Brazilian missionaries have been sent but their efforts have often been short-lived because of lack of preparation, field personnel care, and structural support.

SIM Canada’s goal is to establish a self-sufficient Brazilian office to facilitate the movement of qualified, supported people who are committed to sharing the gospel around the world.
