The Nuba Mountains region lies almost in the geographic center of Sudan. The Western Nuba Mountains Water, Health, Information, Services, and Sanitation Project (WHISSP) targets 30 communities with approximately 45,000 people increasing the availability and management of water and other natural resources.

The goal is to re-establish health, water and sanitation resources that were destroyed or disrupted as a result of the war in Nuba, and to ensure a level of access and management of these resources that will reduce the potential for renewed conflict.

This project is in partnership with Fellowship for African Relief (F.A.R) and CIDA (Canadian International Development Agency).
