SIM Ethiopia works with one of the hardest hit people groups. They are nomadic pastoralists, existing in one of the hottest place on earth, by herding camels and goats.  But it has been over 2 years since they have had any useful amounts of rain.
 
 
 
In some areas, animals have already died. Without animals, people have no milk to drink and are mainly surviving on tea.
 
Ministries like a mobile school, a water project as well as community health education have opened the door for SIM to work in this famine stricken area. Currently SIM is the only non-government organization in place to assist over 4,000 adults and children in most need.
 
  • $10 feeds one child for 2 weeks
  • $25 provides 7 litres of cooking oil
  • $50 provides 30 kg of wheat or 20 kgs of Unimix for children
