Be a VOICE
for those who aren't often heard

VOICE for AIDS (VfA) is an advocacy program created by SIM Canada that seeks to educate Canadians about HIV/AIDS so that they can influence their communities. HIV/AIDS is not a "them” issue, but affects us all.

Most Canadians know very little about HIV/AIDS and yet we play a vital role in its eradication both here in Canada and overseas. Our mission is to continue to spread awareness and advocacy across Canada, partnering with existing groups and organizations, as well as with new educators coast to coast.

The rates of HIV/AIDS in Canada are growing. HIV does not differentiate based on sexual orientation, religion, skin colour, age, or wealth. We must protect ourselves, and discover ways to support others. We must mobilize our friends, colleagues and community groups to take action; breaking down the fear which hides HIV in our communities, and equip ourselves to take radical action to help others in Canada and overseas.

We are committed to increase the education and awareness of Canadians on issues related to HIV/AIDS, helping facilitate people to take action in their personal lives, and within their communities. We ask that volunteers come on as advocates an search out through their social networks places for the VfA program to speak and set up presenations within their communities.
