Angola Drought Relief
There is a drought in southern Angola. A bad harvest in 2020 has now been followed by no harvest at all in 2021. The resul is that food prices have risen to 2 and 3 times. In addition, COVID-19 restrictions many there have been very few markets operating where people can buy food. Many are struggling with lack of food as well as lack of water for themselves and their livestock. Cattle are being herded to the northeast of the country in search of water.
Rio da Huila Medical Center and Tchincombe Ranch are outreach ministries of the Union of Evangelical Churches of Angola (UIEA) for the Ovamuila and Ovangambwe people groups respectively. This project would provide needed food support to the staff and local families until the time of the next harvest May 2022.
