Peru prison ministry reaches out to English speaking women who have been arrested for attempting to traffic drugs out of Peru. Since Peru is classified as a 3rd world country the prison conditions are very difficult for the women. As a tangible expression of the love of Jesus Christ this project endeavours to meet the emotional, spiritual and physical needs of the women, through a welcome package and regular visits to the prison bringing emails from home, sharing Christ’s love through Bible study, singing and individual prayer time with the women. When released on parole the women are invited to continue their relationship with us through discipleship/mentoring and church involvement.
