CAMT - Central Asia Ministry Training
This training consists of two programmes - one to equip church-planters and pastors, and the other to equip lay leaders for ministry. It is expected that some of those participating in the latter programme will in the future want to serve as a church-planter or pastor. CHURCH-PLANTER / PASTOR (HYBRID) TRAINING PROGRAMME: A rolling programme of fortnightly 2-hour online ministry training groups with quarterly week-long conferences for 16 local pastors / church-planters. The programme runs over a three-year period using a hybrid delivery method (online content and meetings + in-person conferences). It provides holistic training to grow the biblical knowledge, godly character, and ministry-practice skills of those training. The course is registered in the Russian Federation as officially recognized training for evangelical Christian missionaries and ministers. The program is run by the Eurasian Missionary College based in Kazan, the capital city of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Russian Federation, but its tutors can operate outside of Russia in Central Asian countries. The training is specifically geared to equipping pastors and church-planters serving in Central Asian contexts - especially among those from a Muslim background. The training is specifically geared to equip ministers to bring the gospel into such contexts and effectively address the thought forms and cultural expectations of people from Muslim backgrounds. Ongoing pastoral support is provided to the training participants. The LAY-LEADER (ONLINE) TRAINING PROGRAMME equips keen lay leaders (including pastors' wives) for bible-teaching ministry in their churches and evangelism in their own contexts. Ministry-practice is an essential strand in the training. The vision entails running the program in all languages spoken across Central Asia, totaling 10 languages in all.
