Vesico-vaginal fistula (VVF) is a physical condition which means many Muslim women are shunned by their communities. Approximately 40 patients a month seek treatment at the 50-bed Bingham University Teaching Hospital, which provides low cost treatment, gives training in VVF treatment, and increases church and community awareness of VVF.
