Momentum Québec is a strategic project designed to reinforce and fuel a fresh church planting wave that is taking place in response to the unprecedented spiritual openness among the next generation of French Quebecois.
The French-Quebecois (8 million+) are the largest unreached people group in Canada. Despite being historically gospel-resistant, a new generation of French-Quebecois is arising that does not carry the same animosity against God that their parents do.
Momentum Quebec is SIM's strategic response to this once-in-a-generation Gospel opportunity to see Quebec transformed with the good news of Jesus. This project seeks to accelerate momentum to healthy church planting movements among the next generation in Quebec through:
- Mobilizing qualified church planting teams into Quebec.
- Reinforcing what God is already doing through strong partnerships with church effective planting movements.
- Engaging the next generation through innovative outreach in the online world.
- Capitalizing and catalyzing the unique generational shift to the Gospel openness that is taking place in Quebec.
The time is now!
Your support of the Momentum Quebec Project will directly fuel:
- Funding for a dedicated mobilizer to recruit high-quality church planters for Quebec from Canada and internationally. Each church planter with SIM will raise their own financial support needs. (Goal 2028: 8 new church planting workers placed within 2-3 church plants)
- Sustainable and healthy church planting teams in Quebec - (Goal 2026: a yearly mini-spiritual life weekend to refresh SIM workers who are facing the elevated stresses and challenges unique to the Quebec context)
- Help churches and ministries leverage online media to engage the next generation of Quebecois with the Gospel where they are. This includes funding for basic equipment and training for SIM workers. (Goal 2028: 2 new workers serving in Quebec in online outreach, 3X the online reach of partner churches and organizations)
Project Cost: $12,375/year (+ 3% inflation adjustment /year)
