Heather has been serving in Bolivia since 1989 in various ministries: music, youth, evangelism, sports, etc. Since 2004, Heather has given leadership to the street kids ministry, Candelero Kids, which helps meet the spiritual and physical needs of poverty-stricken children who come from dysfunctional homes and are in need of direction and love. Since 2008, she and five Bolivian colleagues have been running a Support Centre where they continue to show God's love to the kids, ages 6-18. The kids spend up to 8 hours a day at the center, where they are shown Christ's love and are provided training, fun activities and a nutritious meal. In 2011, the ministry expanded by opening a Boy's Home for abandoned boys, ages 7-20. In this home, they learn how to trust Jesus and follow Him.
