Alberta, Canada

John and Jane have been married since 2015 and are parents to two boys, Lewis and Eugene. They are the first believers in their families and met in Vancouver. From the beginning, they have had a heart for vulnerable people, with a deep love for discipleship and walking closely with those who are hurting.

In 2018, they sensed God calling them to serve First Nations communities in Canada. Through prayer, mentoring, and confirmation from others, they grew convinced that God was leading them to walk alongside Indigenous families in both spiritual and practical ways.

Their ministry focuses on supporting Indigenous communities in southern Alberta, especially families experiencing hardship. They visit homes, provide spiritual care, and help connect individuals to community and social resources when needed. Their approach is shaped by prayer, presence, and compassionate listening, guided by the phrase “Shoulder to Shepherd”—walking beside people as peers until trust grows and deeper spiritual guidance becomes possible.

Their aim is to continue strengthening relationships in the region, supporting families on their journeys of recovery and healing, and encouraging long-term spiritual growth. They desire to serve the local First Nations people with the same love and care that Jesus has shown.

Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. Romans 12:15 (NIV)
