Loic discovered the Hip Hop culture through dance in 2009 and came to faith in Christ Jesus in 2012. Hip Hop is a global urban culture that started approximately in1973, with 4 key artistic elements: Breaking (dance), MC'ing (chanted rhyming speech), DJ'ing (record playing), Graffiti (painting). A large and strong community has been generated from these artistic expressions. A community with individuals of varying age groups and socio-cultural backgrounds. It's not an exaggeration to say that there is a Hip Hop community in every urban area in the world. Following a multitude of lessons from God's Word, including the call to make disciples (Matthew 28:18-20) and God's desire for His people to glorify him in all things (1 Corinthians 10:31), Loic was convicted to intentionally reach out to this community, where he was already present. After 4 years of serving the Hip Hop community in Cameroon, the Lord has called him to serve the Hip Hop community in Canada alongside the SIM project, City Lights. For more information about City Lights, see this introductory video: CITY LIGHTS Loic's desire is to live a lifestyle of radically loving individuals while building relationships, leading to the sharing of the gospel, Bible studies and discipleship.
