Rolen and Sarah both grew up in the northeastern United States. They are blessed to have been raised in Christian homes and accepted Christ as children. Both of them felt called to missions as teenagers and fell in love with camp ministry when they met working at summer camp.SIM became a part of their lives when they took individual trips to Niger, West Africa, in 2014. They married in 2016 and then joined SIM in 2018 to return to Niger. After a brief time in Niger, they were reassigned to Québec in partnership with Parole de Vie (Word of Life). Rolen serves as the camp director, and Sarah is the registrar for the French language school that focuses on teaching French to missions serving in Francophone countries.God has blessed them with three children: Rose, Robert, whose nickname is Bear, and Reed.
