Siko and Delphine grew up in Christian families in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Both came to faith in the 80s and later met during their extensive involvement with the ministry of Scripture Union. They married in 1997. Siko was drawn to and excited by missions in healthcare through Health Care Christian Fellowship International (HCFI) when he heard them share: "More people pass through hospitals than through churches." Anyone, regardless of religion, comes to the hospital for treatment. While they're at the hospital, they can hear the gospel of Christ. HCFI believes in saving man in his totality: soul, mind and body. Siko and Delphine continue to be active with Scripture Union and HCFI. At present, Siko is focusing on quality control at the Lab. Siko carries out special examinations. He does training/refresher courses on some tests and leads the morning Bible meditation with the Christian Lab staff. Siko preaches at staff meetings, during missionary gatherings, and does village evangelism with his pastor. Delphine is a nurse at the hospital and is also involved in training nurses to improve the quality of care.
