Three Ways to Partner with SIM to Share Jesus and Bring Hope

Convinced that no one should live and die without hearing God's good news, we believe that He has called us to make disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ in communities where he is least known. Through the pandemic, this has remained our clear vision and mission. This has not changed despite the many changes of how we do ministry.

You can find your place to serve with SIM, give where it is most needed and pray for those affected most by COVID-19. Find a way that you can partner with SIM to help.

PRAY

As Christians, prayer is one of the primary ways we can bless others. At SIM, prayer is foundational to everything we do. Join us in praying regularly for our medical workers, their colleagues, and those they serve in the face of COVID-19. Download our Pray to End COVID-19 prayer guide.

GO

Are you a health care professional? A teacher? Do you have administrative or business experience? The COVID-19 pandemic has increased the need for workers around the world in a wide variety of fields. When travel restrictions begin to lift and country borders reopen, consider serving with us in a short- or long-term capacity. See below for current opportunities.

GIVE

This is the work of the mission. Going into the hard places where Christ is least known and changing people’s lives. Will you partner with us to take the Gospel to where He is least known? This fund supports the work of SIM through the administration office during a difficult time due to COVID-19. Use the Giving Form below to make a donation to continue the work.

Ways to Go

Many of SIM’s Health Ministry Team workers are serving on the frontlines of the fight against COVID-19, while also caring for patients facing many other serious health conditions. We need workers to fill in for them as soon as we are able to send relief, hopefully beginning in the fall of 2020 and going into 2021. We have very specific needs for:

  • Primary care physicians
  • Specialty care physicians, especially surgeons
  • Nurses
  • Administrators
  • Physical and occupational therapists
  • Mental health workers
  • Community health educators

We are anticipating a great teacher shortage in all of SIM’s international schools this year and in some of our homeschool groups as well. Many schools around the world will be starting again in August, and we are asking the Lord to provide teachers who could be ready to go when borders reopen.

  • Elementary teachers pre-K to grade 5
  • Middle & high school core subject teachers (English, math, science, social studies)
  • Elective classes for all grades (PE, art, music, computers, foreign language, and more)
  • Special education
  • School directors and administrative staff
  • Teachers and assistants for homeschool groups

Facing a global pandemic places a very heavy load on our current leaders and their support staff in this season as they’re trying to care well for their teams. We have a need for workers with skills and experience in the following types of roles:

  • Personnel coordinators
  • Administrators
  • Accountants
  • Hospitality coordinators
  • Maintenance workers
  • Information services specialists
