Use your professional skills and passion to the good work of God’s Kingdom.
We reach the Somali community with the gospel through English and life skills and business teaching, community services (water projects, community health), translation work and services and discipleship. We desire a deep holistic transformation in the lives of the Somali community both believers and unbelievers.
The Digo are the second largest Muslim Unreached People Group in Kenya. Although the Bible has been translated into Chidigo the impact of the gospel on this community of 460,000 along the south Kenya coast has been minimal. SIM Kenya is committed to seeing a change of this sad state and has already started to form a small team that is working towards an effective strategy to reach them.
We have been called to be a part of three main communities: vulnerable and/or very-low-income communities; young healthcare professionals; and Muslim communities. Living as a part of these communities, we see ourselves and others shaped to become Christ-focused, kingdom-motivated believers providing healthcare and healthcare training for the vulnerable communities across East Africa, demonstrating the love and holistic healing power of Jesus Christ in our lives.
Life Challenge is a ministry that is uniquely focused and passionately committed to mobilize, train and equip the Body of Christ to meaningfully present the Gospel to Muslims and make disciples among them.
The Orma are a semi-nomadic people who live in Lamu and Tana River counties. The Orma are almost exclusively Muslim. They are devoted in their faith, observing all the rites and religious festivals of Islam. Most of the Orma have never heard the Name of Jesus as the Son of God. Jesus is just a prophet, teacher, or a good man. A ministry team to engage the Orma community will be established.
East Africa Regional Services provides high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective services which are relevant and significant to SIM entities in East and Central Africa Region. Both the Coastal Region and Northern Kenya are least reached with the gospel and desperately need cross-cultural ministry workers. Eleventh Hour Network seeks to awaken Kenyan churches to the opportunity of propagating the gospel in these regions and beyond. The ministry promotes mission activity within local churches and encourages the churches to take the gospel to the nearby least reached people groups. We build ministry networks, train the local pastors and evangelists to catalyse local mission and church planting.
We work with Orthodox Christians in the Tigray region of Ethiopia, engaging them in holistic outreach. We would welcome any applications from those felt called to work with the Ethiopian Orthodox church in Tigray.
