Use your professional skills and passion to the good work of God’s Kingdom.
The medical ministry targets both Ethiopian Christian healthcare students or junior staff, for example, PAACS orthopaedic residents, student fellowship groups at St Pauls or Black Lion hospitals and patients and their families. For the Christian healthcare students, the ministry aims to equip them with the relevant skills and mindset so that they can use their profession as a platform to demonstrate God's love for the people they are caring.
Hidden Abilities focuses on working with disabled children and their families in both the therapy center as well as in the homes of the children where physical therapy can be continued with the help of the broader family and community. The primary objective is for the children and their families to see the child as of great value, and that they will begin the process of learning how to gain skills for independence, selfcare, mobility, and school readiness. As the child and the family are together of great value in the sight of the Lord, we seek to point them, regardless of background, to the One who loves and values them most. The other objective is to promote professional training and understanding among health care professionals. Also to promote understanding and skills among families, and understanding and decrease prejudice among the general population in Bahir Dar.
We trains and equip local churches in Muslim areas of Ethiopia to reach out in love to their neighbours. We would welcome workers who feel called to train and equip church leaders to reach out to their Muslim neighbours.
We provide children from the Negede community with English lessons as well as a weekend youth club. We welcome any workers, short- or long-term, if they have a heart for working with children in a least reached community.
KIBIR is collaborating with the church to equip Christian business owners, graduates-professionals, university students and faith leaders for marketplace ministry. We also encourage our target groups to formulate intentional kingdom impact plans and expand them to Missional projects with four major bottom lines (spiritual -mission, social, economic, and environmental) in doing so we would like to see a redeemed marketplace without corruption.
This ministry writes, records and broadcasts gospel messages in native languages for people groups throughout Ethiopia. We are looking for anyone with an interest in, or experience of, writing or producing such messages.
