Elias and Sheena have served the Lord in various ministries since they came to faith in their teenage years, then serving together as a couple since their wedding in 1982. Elias majors on pastoral work, leadership training and mentoring, and church planting. Sheena has enjoyed a powerful hospitality ministry and is a co-leader with Elias of an inter-cultural connection emphasis with seminars and workshops. The couple are also involved in missionary work in Central Africa, primarily Zambia. Elias is the serving pastor at South End Baptist church in Dartmouth NS and the moderator of the African United Baptist Association of Nova Scotia (until August 2025).
