Guillermo was born and raised in Durango, Mexico while Mary-Ann grew up in a Christian home in Calgary, AB. Both accpeted Christ as their Lord and Saviour and were baptized at a young age. Guillermo and Mary-Ann met one another on Venture Teams International in 1995 and were later married in July 2000, beginning an adventure into missions together. They are grateful for their 3 children: Samuel (2006), Lavinia (2008), and Joshua (2011).
Guillermo and Mary-Ann both felt God calling them into full-time intercultural ministry and, through prayer, they felt led for Guillermo to get training at Prairie Bible College in mission aviation. In December 2004, SIM Canada became a part of their journey as they prepared to serve. After serving in Zambia for 11 years, with both SIM and Flying Mission Zambia (for 8 years), they returned to Canada as they felt God was leading them into more of a discipleship ministry. Mexico was their next home, first in La Paz, Baja California Sur where they served with church planting (on loan to TEAM Mexico) then in Nuevo Ideal, Durango, as they worked alongside an evangelical Mennonite church reaching out to the Old Colony Mennonite Community for the next 3 1/2 years.
Currently, Guillermo and Mary-Ann are in Three Hills, AB, where they are serving as the International Workers in Residence at Prairie Bible College. They have the privilege of working with the Intercultural Ministries program to disciple, train, and encourage the students. They also have the joy of supporting Missionary Kids (MKs), Third Culture Kids (TCKs), and International Students. The Reddekopps hope that they can serve the Prairie students in a way that brings inner healing, Biblical training and encouragement through one-on-one discipleship, classroom involvement, and community building activities. Samuel and Lavinia, who are in grade 12, and Joshua, who is in grade 9, are enjoying being involved in the community and serving where they are able.
"Don't be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand." Isaiah 41:10
