Lane trusted Christ for his salvation as an 18-year-old. Jesus put a burden in the Elliott's hearts for the spiritually lost of Latin America, so they followed Him to Paraguay and later to Mexico. Following almost a decade in Latin America, the Elliotts returned home to Western Canada in 2015. Lane's ministry now involves evangelism and discipleship both in Canada and in Mexico to migrant workers primarily from Mexico and Guatemala. Lane has access to over 1500 young men who hear the gospel while working at vineyards in Mexico. In Canada, small groups are formed for the purpose of evangelizing individual farms. Additionally, Lane leads Spanish-language Bible studies in Calgary with Hispanics from all over Latin America. Lane and Sheri have 5 children, 3 of whom are married, and one grandchild.
