Makayla Meinen is from Mitchell, Ontario, and is nearing the completion of a degree in Religious Education at Heritage College. This summer, she will be serving in Kenya as an English teacher to Somali refugees. Makayla is eager to build meaningful relationships, share God’s love with the people in Kenya, and grow in her understanding of both Kenyan and Somali culture. This time overseas will also be an opportunity for her to learn from experienced mentors and gain valuable insight into mission work.
