Mark and Leanne's engagement in missions started with leading short-term trips. After sensing God's call to full-time mission work, they served in West Africa and Malawi in administration, coordinating and supporting short-term and long-term missionaries. In 2015, Leanne was asked to join the SIM Canada sending office to bring her skills and gifts to the Finance team. After much discussion and prayer, Leanne accepted this new challenge and still serves there as Payroll and Accounts Payable Coordinator. Mark continues his oversight, now from Canada, of a Christian school in West Africa that hosts about 600 students in primary, secondary and vocational programs. He is very much involved in fundraising for this ministry and strives to visit once or twice per year. In addition to these activities, Mark is engaged with the SIM International Global LifeShare program through which he also mentors a few young men serving abroad in ministries with SIM.
