Rebecca grew up in a Christian home in rural Saskatchewan, where God used summer camps, her church, and the example of her family to draw her to Himself. From a young age, she felt called to missions particularly in medical ministry. After training as a family practice anesthetist, Rebecca served in short-term medical missions for eight years before committing to full-time work in 2022. She now serves as the Medical Director at ELWA Hospital in Liberia, West Africa. Her focus is on teaching, training, and supporting hospital staff, with the goal of improving care, sharing the gospel with patients, and strengthening the local church through healthcare. In addition to her work at the hospital, Rebecca opens her home in the evenings to neighborhood children and teens. Through Bible studies, homework help, and quality time together, she invests in youth discipleship. She considers it a great privilege to serve both in the hospital and in her community.
