For over 20+ years, Stephanie has been called to walk alongside those who have faced tremendous obstacles. She established a ministry to single-mothers at UrbanPromise Toronto that provided weekly support groups, Biblical teaching, and life-giving friendships that led to life transformation for those involved.

Stephanie’s calling to care for the hurting led her to get involved with the Trauma Healing Institute where she has become an advanced facilitator. She leads groups through trauma healing that result in freedom from past hurts. She creates a safe place for them to address the effects of trauma with resources that integrate biblical and mental health practices.  She is also raising up future facilitators and trainers as she works alongside and mentors them as they serve.  

God has opened doors for her to put her experience and training into practice among the forcibly displaced and refugees in various global contexts, with a focus on asylum seekers in Toronto through The Peoples Church transitional homes. She will be offering healing circles to the UrbanPromise communities and open to wherever else God leads.
