Claire came to faith as a child of 9. She was called into ministry when she met an older cross-cultural worker. Tohru came to faith going into University at McGill, through the work of InterVarsity. He found himself overseas after some meaningful interactions in university with people who had served cross-culturally. They met in Sudan and married in 2006. They now live in Kenya with their two boys. Claire serves in the areas of children's discipleship and is studying towards sharpening that focus. Tohru loves sharing what God is doing in East Africa through communications. He wants to inspire people with the idea of a God who can do all things. Tohru has also taken on a transitional leadership role at SIM Kenya along with four others. Both Tohru and Claire are passionate about seeing the truth of God impact lives.
